Federation of Youth Clubs of Armenia, in cooperation with its partner organization, Youth and Environment Europe(YEE), is announcing an open call for Armenian participants for the international seminar “Know Your Grassroots” that will take place from 1 – 7 April 2019 in Dublin, Ireland.
Nowadays in Europe, where many young people still feel skeptical about the institutionalized politics, future of Europe and their participation in the social and political life of their communities, grassroots projects and activism could be seen as the right tool for making a real and youth-led change in society. The aim of the seminar is to define the concept of environmental grassroots projects and their role in fostering youth participation.
Objectives of the seminar are:

To equip the participants with overview of environmental grassroots movements.
In order to increase capacities of young people to advocate for grassroots initiatives, we will:
Learn what grassroots activism and actions are, and in particular environmental grassroots movements;
Understand the relation between grassroots movements, environmental youth organisations and youth participation by learning from concrete examples of young people’s initiatives regarding environmental problems;
Learn new methods and strategies of creating youth led environmental grassroots movements
