Atom Mkhitaryan, President of the largest youth organization of Armenia - Federation of Youth Clubs of Armenia, sent a congratulatory message on International Youth Day.
Dear young people!
On behalf of the largest youth NGO in Armenia, I cordially congratulate you on International Youth Day, August 12. The guarantee of the progress of any society is the youth if the young people strive to be educated and smart, firm in their expectations and participate in decision-making processes, and the state encourages all their initiatives. The Federation of Youth Clubs, with its many and varied programs, always supports the youth, giving them opportunities for development and directing the potential of our people to overcome the challenges they face. Our main task today is to establish public solidarity, the leadership of which should be the youth. In this regard, more than 100 FYCA clubs and centres, youth NGOs and initiatives will implement local programs on August 12, such as flash mobs, meetings-discussions, campaigns, seminars, competitions, literary evenings, marches, sports events, the general title of which is SOLIDARITY.
I congratulate you once again, wish you well and solidarity for the benefit of our people.
August 12 was declared the International Youth Day by the decision of the UN General Assembly on December 17, 1999.
